Congrats to the New Orleans Saints, Drew Brees and the entire city of New Orleans tonight! The Saints came back from a 10-0 deficit to win their first ever Super Bowl, 31-17! Drew Brees who was pretty much written off by every other team four years ago proved tonight he really is one of the elite players in the league. Brees was named the MVP tonight, but the entire Saints team played like champs tonight! Even if the commercials blew (horribly)! I bet Mardi Gras is going to be insane now!

Saints are the Super Bowl 44 Champions!

First off I would just love to say some things about the recent sports headlines! Firstly being the recent hiring of Brian Kelly as the head coach at Notre Dame. I think its pathetic that a coach would cut and run on his team like that. How can you expect your players to ever respect you, or do the right thing if you set an example like that! That’s no better then someones dad leaving them, its pathetic. The man had loured in all these people, got them to jump on his bandwagon, and even had the school dishing out tons of cash to help boost their football program. How does he repay the school and the team that has worked so hard to help him succeed? By leaving the first chance he gets! Same crap Rich Rodriguez did and look how well that’s panned out for him! I think it shows your true character as a man when you are willing to turn your back on the young men who look up to you, just to receive a bigger payday. It’s one thing if your contract was completely expired, but to bail out before the team even plays their last game? Really? I mean this is the biggest game of that schools football history, and you cut and run like that? Your no man, and your certainly not a great football coach. You are nothing more then a gold digger, plain and simple. I hope you fail worse then Charlie Weis did at Notre Dame!

Today it was announced that the Oakland Raiders will be benching starting Quarterback JaMarcus Russell. Unfortunately, I am an Oakland fan. Sadly however being an Oakland Raiders fan in the past decade no longer means a commitment to excellence. The Raiders have become the joke of league. Our owner is an 80+ year old geezer, who is suffering from a serious case of denial. We also have the village jackass, in Tom Cable, as the head coach. Now we are benching our $31 million dollar joke of a starting Quarterback. Not to mention the Raiders have gotten off to a horrendous start this season with a 2-9 record so far. So the move of Russel to the bench is a much needed one.

Crazily I agree with this move, however I would like to know why it took so damn long? I mean he flat out sucks, and has throughout the entire season. I mean Russell has completed just 47% of his passes this year, and that’s with me being nice and rounding up! How on earth can a legitimate NFL Head Coach, and one of the most storied owners in NFL history not realize that Russel sucks? Maybe its

Al Davis

because Al Davis is way past his prime. Instead of admitting it, and just owning the team, he would rather act like a dictator in Depends. He controls every move of the team, and refuses to accept anyone else making decisions. He disposed of Jon Gruden because he didn’t like the fact that Jon actually wanted to do the job and be the head coach. Look what happened with that, Gruden destroyed the Raiders that very next season in the Superbowl. We have yet to have a winning record since the 2002 season. (continue reading…)
