The Mr. Glass Experience

Most of the posts on this blog have just been info about the book so far. Trust me though once I can finally stop worrying about promoting the book by word of mouth so much I will crack down on writing some new stuff for the site! Until then I need your help!

One of the ways I thought would be good to promote the book would be to do a little 30 second to a minute long video. My idea is to shoot a video for the 2nd WOW in the book, the “Drop your pants and scream group hug one”. However I cannot do this alone! What I need is people who are willing to act in it. My idea for it is to have a guy walking down the street somewhere (or walking through some crowded area like a club) and accidentally bump into some “thugs” or “bad asses”. Some words would be exchanged, and then the “thugs” would try to fight the main character. That is when I, Mr. Glass, would pop in and act as his conscience. Explaining to him that if he does fight with these guys he is sure to get his ass beat. Then I offer him an alternative. That is when I disappear again and leave the man there again in the crowded room, with the group of guys who want to fight him. They start to circle him, when he will drop his pants, and…well scream “Group Hug” that is when the “thugs” get freaked out and run off. The main character leaves the club with his face intact, and proceeds to thank Mr. Glass.

For this video I need some people willing to act in it. Firstly I need three or four guys to play the “bad asses” and then one guy who will be the main character of the video. We can also use as many extras as possible, to help make the scene seem more realistic. Any ideas on where to actually shoot it, and actual dialogue and such will also be a great help. Anyone who would like to help that has a camera, we will need at least two cameras to shoot it right.

I would not be here today without the support I have received from all of my friends. So I am calling on you once again! This time to help me make this video. If it turns out good, there are hundreds more we could possibly shoot! Also of course anyone who helps will receive credit. Who knows if the video does good enough you might even become a YouTube star! So I need your help once more if we are going to make this book a success! I would like to shoot this sometime before the first of January, or before everyone heads off back to school. So lets make it happen, lets make a YouTube classic!

My book, Mr. Glass’s Words of Wisdom is now listed on Google Books. This is unique way of checking out a book. Having my book listed on the site allows you to have a preview of the book. You get to see the first few pages of the book, along with the covers (front and back). This is a pretty awesome thing, as it allows people to get a taste of the book before the actually buy it! Also it lists the major retailers who have the book listed for sale at. My book is now available on BarnesAndNoble.com as well as Borders.com. Now that gives you multiple options for buying the book, either through Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, Borders.com or RoseDogBookStore.com. Also if you would prefer to actually buy the book physically from your local bookstore, kindly request that they add it to the books they carry in store!

Mr. Glass’s Words of Wisdom is finally for sale at the Worlds largest online bookstore, Amazon.com! As of December 4th 2009 the book is listed on Amazon. This means that millions of people now have an opportunity to see my book for sale. Every bit of exposure help the book, and this is possibly the greatest form available. However if I am going to make sure that this book is a success I need all of the help I can get. I need people’s help with spreading the book via word of mouth. The more people who hear about the book the better chances I have of selling it. Now with it being on Amazon.com it makes it even easier. Whenever you tell someone about the book just let them know its for sale on Amazon. The low price of $8 should make it easy for anyone to afford. So if you guys could help me out by telling your room mates, college buddies, team members, and Facebook and MySpace friends about the book I would be forever grateful! This book means so much to me. It not only took a lot from me to create it, it took lots of help! All of the people who supported the WOW’s you played a big part. Reading my book!

So today when I got home from the store there was a package laying on the front porch. I had no clue what it was at first but as soon as I read my publishers name on it I flipped out! I opened it up and sure enough inside were three copies of my book! The very first three printed!

That’s right my book “Mr. Glass’s Words of Wisdom” is finally here!

Mr. Glass's Words of Wisdom

The Mr. Glass Experience is not just for promoting my book, Mr. Glass’s Words of Wisdom (due out soon from RoseDog Books, only $8 WOW!). I will also be posting all the original articles, stories and poetry I write, as well as promoting any and all projects I am a part of. Such as the cool E-zine that I have a monthly column in, TheOuterBelt.com . If you haven’t checked it out yet your lame! Every month you can read my new hilarious advice column, as well as some other cool articles about Columbus!

Also I will be trying to post as often on here as I can, to make the Mr. Glass Experience reach its fullest potential. I’ll be posting music, interviews, movie reviews, my monthly mixtape I plan on hosting, and pretty much anything else that pops into my head. Trust me it will definitely be worth checking out! This is not going to be your ordinary blog, this is Mr. Glass’s blog! I mean the same crazy stuff you see in my Daily WOW’s will be showing up on here, but even better. I will be able to post longer things, divulging into all kinds of crazy stuff on here for you guys. I know I am probably sounding kind of weird right now, but that’s why you all love me, cause I’m weird!

So I would like to take this time again to give thanks to everyone who has helped support my Daily Words of Wisdom! You guys helped them grow from a random text message one day into a daily tradition! Without your support they wouldn’t have lasted a single week. But here we are over a year into them and I am working hard to make sure they still have you laughing! So thank you again to all of my friends! I do however want to give special thanks to Mr. Ethan Kefauver, for without whom the book would just be full of words. His illustrations are amazing, and if I can ever get the guy to sit down and work with me, we will be doing some more projects!
